Have you ever watched the London Marathon on television wishing you could be involved but feeling somewhat daunted by the thought of running 26 miles? Do you fancy the unique treat of running through the heart of the country’s capital past historic and beautiful landmarks, but at a more manageable distance? Or are you an experienced runner with a less-seasoned friend or relation who has seen you run and now wants a go? Either way, the British 10K is the perfect answer!
By taking part in this event you can get fit and spend a fabulous summer’s day in London, whilst raising vital funds to save babies’ lives.
The next British 10K London Run takes place on Sunday 12th July 2009 and will take you on a unique circuit through the heart of central London. You will journey past many of the capital’s truly world famous landmarks such as Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and the Palaces of Westminster, and will end near our head offices in St James’s, where we will be holding a summer champions’ party to celebrate your success. You can bring friends and relatives along to cheer you on who can then meet you at the party afterwards.
Places are now available for the British 10K 2009. For more information please contact us by emailing challenge@fsid.org.uk or calling 020 7222 8003.
Once you are signed up we can send you a fundraising pack full of great ideas on how to get as much money as possible for our cause, your own FSID running vest to wear proudly on the day, and information on where to meet the team at the start of the race. We will then be on hand from then until race day with any advice, support or resources you need.
Places are allocated on a first come first served basis, so do get in touch as soon as possible to reserve your place and join us on this most scenic and momentous race.
