The Great British Duck Race 2008 is spreading its wings!

By adopting a duck you can help raise vital funds for FSID, be part of a Guinness World Record-breaking attempt and be in with a chance of winning £10,000!


The Great British Duck Race 2008 takes place on Sunday 31st August on a 1km stretch of the River Thames near Hampton Court Palace when a quarter of a million ducks are set to break the existing Guinness World Record.

 

You don’t have to be able to attend the event to support us, simply click here to adopt your very own FSID duck! (Just make sure to select ‘FSID’ from the drop down menu). It costs just £2 to adopt a duck plus a donation of your choice towards our vital cot death research and support. You could be in with a chance of winning one of 30 fantastic prizes, including £10,000 for the first duck to cross the finish line.

At 12.30pm on “DUCK DAY” a quarter of a million individually numbered plastic ducks will be dropped into Molesey Lock and then released into the Thames to begin the race at 1.30pm. Spectators and participants are welcome to attend the race. There will be activity and refreshments being served along the course near Hampton Court.
