The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths is the UK’s leading baby charity aiming to prevent sudden infant death, support bereaved families and promote safe baby care advice.

Sudden infant death, or cot death, is still the biggest killer of babies over one month old in the UK, claiming more lives than meningitis, leukaemia, other cancers, house and road accidents put together, and that is why your help is still as vital as ever.

You and your colleagues can help us give every baby born in the UK the chance of a lifetime by raising vital funds in the following ways:

Sponsored UK Trekking Weekends

Want to reach the summit of Ben Nevis, scale Mount Snowdon or simply wander in the rugged beauty of the Lake District?

Qualified mountaineer, Peter Mead, offers to lead you and your colleagues on a unique team-building experience that can be tailored to your own level of difficulty, dates and choice of location whilst all the sponsorship money that you raise will go directly to FSID. And, as Peter is a supporter of our cause he is offering his services for free.

Participants are expected to cover their own costs for accommodation, transport and food and to raise a minimum of just £200 in sponsorship.

Payroll Giving

“Payroll Giving (Give As You Earn) is a way to help us that costs you less.

You specify an amount to be taken from your wages each month before tax has been deducted. This means that your gift will be tax efficient. For instance, if you wished to make a gift to us of £5 each month, it would cost you just £3.90.

British 10k London Run

Form a company team or just get the rest of the office to sponsor you for this unique, yet manageable running challenge through the heart of the country’s historic capital this summer.  Take in the sight of London’s many famous landmarks such as Big Ben and Trafalgar Square en route and finish in Saint James’s Park where will we treat you and your team members to a celebratory summer picnic.

We ask for a minimum sponsorship amount of only £150 and participants will also need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £29.50.
