We regularly organise Family Days Out for bereaved families in zoos, theme parks and museums across the country. The aim is to allow people to meet, mingle and talk in relaxed, informal surroundings. Some parents who have attended a Day Out tell us that it was important for them to share their feelings and gain strength from being around others who have been through the same experience. Others use the occasion as a special day to remember loved ones. The accent on activity and enjoyment is also good for surviving siblings.
We hold eight Family Days Out every year. Due to limited places we are only able to offer families invitations to the event in their area. Details of Family Days Out in 2008 will appear here as they are confirmed. Many more events will be held in 2009 so check this page regularly.
