Friends for Life is a special scheme introduced to thank all those people who support us through regular gifts by direct debit/standing order or GAYE (Give As You Earn), or who have made legacy pledges.

Over 75% of our supporters now give regularly through their bank account, and an increasing number have remembered us in their Will. All this helps us to plan ahead, adding to our store of knowledge on infant health and maintaining vital services for the families of tomorrow.

We calculate, by comparing our spending on epidemiological research with the 21,000 plus lives saved since the 'Reduce the Risk of Cot Death' campaign was introduced, that it costs approximately £48 to save a baby's life. You will see, then, that a gift of just £4 a month can be the difference between heartbreak and happiness for a family somewhere.

As a Friend for Life, you will receive regular copies of FSID News, our bi-annual Friends for Life Bulletin and a complimentary coin-token keyring. You can also order free of charge, at any time, our baby-safety packs (containing our BabyZone booklet and a room thermometer) for yourself, your family or your friends.
