Leaving a gift to FSID in your Will is a way of ensuring that your generosity will live on to help babies and their families. It is that most special of gifts - a gift to the children of tomorrow.
Why making a Will is important
Making a Will is important because it enables you to decide exactly how your estate will be divided and how your affairs will be dealt with.
If you already have a Will, it is advisable to review it every five years or whenever something significant happens in your life.
Remembering FSID and its mission to save lives
First and foremost in your mind when drafting a Will are your loved ones. However, once they have been provided for, your thoughts may turn to causes that you care about. We hope that one of these will be FSID’s work to prevent cot death and ease the heartbreak of families affected by it.
Helping tomorrow’s children with your lasting gift
650,000 babies are born every year in the UK, and FSID’s work benefits them all. But we need at least £1.5 million annually to ensure that even our most basic services remain available for tomorrow’s families. And the more we raise, the more we can achieve.
Because of this, gifts in Wills have become increasingly significant to our ability to carry on saving lives. Many people assume that such gifts must be large sums of money, but this is not necessarily the case. Gifts left to FSID have ranged from under £100 to tens of thousands of pounds. What matters is that they all combine to play a vital role in making our work possible.
