Hundreds of journalists contact FSID's press office every year looking for authoritative opinion and fact on sudden infant death and safe baby care. We are able to offer detailed briefings, and interviews with experts (staff, paediatricians, health visitors and midwives). We are also happy to put journalists in touch with families who have suffered the sudden death of their baby.
FSID staff and advisors (paediatricians, midwives, health visitors, coroners etc) are happy to give media interviews. We are located in Central London and are happy to travel to TV / radio studios or for filming to take place in the office.
We have eight Regional Development Officers who will give interviews as FSID representatives. They work with families and professionals around the country and will give you a local / regional angle.
In addition we can put journalsits in touch with cot death parents who provide case studies. We are often able to match the bereaved parents' experience to the news story whether it be on bedsharing, smoking or experiences with the authorities when their baby died.
