There are endless ways that nurseries can get involved that are both fun and educative for pupils. If you choose to support us, whether as a one-off or as the nursery’s charity of the year, we’ll be delighted to support you, in terms of advice, ideas and resources. We can also supply teddies and stickers as prizes for the children.
Ways of supporting
If you choose to support us, you may choose to concentrate all your fundraising activities into one week, or you might prefer to undertake a series of events over the course of the year. Please see the list below for inspiration. Have a look at the schools’ fundraising list too, as many of those ideas will be applicable to nurseries.
Nursery Fundraising Ideas:
Wacky races
Children compete with egg and spoon or obstacle races.
Sweets in a jar
Guess how many sweets in a jar. The closest to the total wins the jar.
Fancy Dress
Dress as an animal, cartoon or fairy tale character.
Sponsored Toddle
The children are sponsored to cross the garden and back all by themselves.
Teddy bears’ picnic
Pay 50p to bring your favourite cuddly toy to a picnic lunch.
Art competition
Draw or colour in a picture. The prettiest wins a prize and all the art work is displayed.
Face painting
Children pay 50p to be their favourite animal all day at school. This can also apply to wearing a transfer or sticker
Fete
Hold a party with cakes and games for the children.
Pick a Bear
Our very own bear lottery game. Children or parents pay £1 to guess the number of the bear on a poster and the winner gets a cuddly teddy. Click here for more details.
